Without knowing of Valencienne before the day she first walked in, Robin’s presence was that of an old friend, one with whom I was finally reuniting. Her vision for a soft, romantic, floral lace wedding gown was one realized together, as she described her dream, and pencil came to paper. Envisioning the drama of a long train, fit for an elaborate venue, but hoping to avoid the unnecessary weight of the dress, we opted for a silk organza-lined removable train with an organic edge to spotlight the beauty of the lace. A nod to tradition, the mantilla veil captured an old-world elegance. Its edges were trimmed with the same floral lace, and it was the perfect juxtaposition to a modern fit and flare silhouette.
