Last weekend, we ditched the 6 and went to NYC to check out the newest bridal trends hitting the runway this season. From Millennial Pink to giant Dior inspired Bows, this season is sure to bring a breadth of designs for every bride’s unique style. So let’s walk you threw our top trends for Fall 2017 and a little preview of design elements you will see in our custom bridal gowns at our Toronto location this fall!

When it comes to classic, princess Grace is always an icon. Bringing back the classic ballgown shape with the added vintage element of a lace sleeve, these gowns are the perfect style to love for years after the special day.

2. Bows

Totally Valencienne, Dior bows are back all over this years’ collections! Bow sleeve details, large bow statements and even the tiny belt bows graced the fabrics of many gowns strutting down the runway and we can’t get enough! More bows please!

3. Pinks

We all know the major design trend of Millennial Pink, well we definitely saw all the pretty pink hues in tulles, satins and organzas blushing down the runway. A great twist on a classic gown style, adding that extra pop of colour brings a chic but feminine touch to 2017 bridal style.

4. Minimalism

The Minimalist documentary on Netflix sure had every captivated, including bridal designers for their 2017 collections! Simple, sexy cuts were all the rage for fall, showing more silhouette and letting the shape and construction of the gown speak for itself. Why we love this look? ACCESSORIES!! Tons of room to play with great statement jewels to pop that minimalist style!

5. Blooms

April showers bring..fall flowers! Floral patterns, appliques and laces were popping up all over this season’s collections, bringing a feminine and sweet touch to the runway and for our Fall brides. Fall weddings are seeing a huge transition from dark and deep colour tones to soft and airy summer vibes to lighten the mood at a colder time of year. We say, go for it! Look out for all our pretty lace and floral details in our 2017 designs!
